Pete Rock is responsible for blowing out Kenwoods, and giving a generation of hip hop listeners neck problems. He is known for cuts like “T.R.O.Y”, “The World Is Yours”, Albums with CL Smooth, Remixes which are way better than the original track (House of Pain – Jump Around Remix) and making mediocre rappers like Grap Luva and Rob O get repeat listens. He even produced “Juicy” but Puff stole the beat and touched it up. His sound varies from jazzy to super funky….definitely a master of many styles.

DJ Premier trademarked the scratching samples to use as hooks of songs. His signature sound is all over the place from every Gang Starr Album, BIG’s “Unbelievable”, “Memory Lane”, “NY State of Mind”. He’s honestly produced for almost everyone in the game.
